We are looking for volunteers

27th July 2023

Devon Link-Up is a user-led charity that supports people in Devon who are autistic or who have a learning disability.

We are currently looking for volunteers to help with our Heathfield Farm project in Broadclyst.

We offer meaningful and purposeful agriculturally based activities which include soil preparation, planting, basic woodwork, site maintenance, crafting and cookery.

These activities lead to people developing genuine community connections, growing in self-esteem and self-belief.

The atmosphere at the farm is always positive, friendly and relaxed. We are person-centred, focus is placed upon building our clients confidence and allowing them to achieve things in their own way, in their own time and on their own terms.

What are we looking for?

We are looking for volunteers with a caring nature who have an interest in any of the activities we offer.

As a volunteer you will be working alongside our team of skilled support workers.

If comfortable to do so, you may be asked to lead a small group of clients to carry out a specific task.

We would also welcome applications from volunteers who prefer to work independently to help us keep on top off the ground’s maintenance requirements of our site or from anyone who may have expertise in other areas that could be beneficial in supporting the charity.

All volunteers will be asked to complete a basic DBS check.

For more information or to register your interest please email Marion at admin@heathfieldfarm.org.
