Heathfield Farm

At Heathfield Farm, participants take part in a wide range of purposeful, hands‑on activities, including growing vegetables, cooking meals together, basic woodwork, craft projects, and caring for our hens. These activities are offered through paid placements, providing meaningful opportunities to try new things, learn practical skills, and connect with others.

Through regular participation, individuals develop important life skills and a sense of independence, gaining confidence in their abilities through achievement and contribution.

The welcoming farm environment creates a strong sense of belonging, supporting both mental and physical wellbeing through social interaction and time spent outdoors, where individuals feel valued, supported, and able to take part at their own pace.

In addition, our site is home to Shammy, Star, Shadow and Dreamer – four miniature Shetland ponies who are a much‑loved part of the farm.
